Tom Crowther
Hey all! I a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from Northeastern University. I consider myself an innovative, fast-paced, and detail-oriented engineer, passionate about working on new technologies and high volume consumer products. I feel most fulfilled in my work when I have the opportunity to drive designs that will go on to positively impact many people. I am currently seeking a full-time position as a mechanical/product design engineer or project manager where I can contribute to a collaborative work culture.
During college, I was heavily involved in Northeastern Electric Racing, where I learned to design and analyze parts and assemblies in SolidWorks and iterate on my designs quickly. I also improved my designs through rapid prototyping and became comfortable building them.

I further developed my skills through three co-op experiences at Sonos Inc. as a mechanical design engineer. During my co-ops, I learned to collaborate with electrical engineers, industrial designers, tooling engineers, and management to define system architecture. I also engaged with vendors in DFM cycles to create designs that are well functioning, elegant, and manufacturable.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, cooking, chasing new experiences, and exploring any environment I find myself in.

I created this website to showcase some of the projects I am most proud of, including both class projects and work from project teams. I hope to continue building this portfolio with many more exciting projects! You can learn more about me and my work by exploring this site. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my projects, feel free to reach out via phone or email — I'd be happy to chat!
